Questions and answers

The awards for expos, trade shows, conferences, summits and festivals, and for the organisers, teams, venues, suppliers and exhibitors behind them. They are a programme of The Expys, which also runs the Executive Awards and the Entrepreneur Awards.

The Expys is run by Wiktis Pty Ltd, a company registered in Australia. It is the seller of every entry and every ticket, and the party you contract with. Write to hello@expys.org and a person reads it.

The organisers, teams, venues, suppliers and exhibitors behind a show, and the show itself. Entry is by self-declaration: you tell us that what you enter is true, that you are entitled to enter it, and that you have the permission of anybody you name. Entries are reviewed, and an entry that is not approved is refunded in full.

Yes, and nominating is free. They get an email saying you nominated them and for which award, with a link to enter. Nomination and voting are open to anyone with an email address they can prove is theirs.

Every price is in United States dollars. A team member is US$49, a show is US$99, an exhibitor award is US$99, Host of the Year is US$99, a supplier category is US$199 and an organiser award is US$199. The fee is per award, per region, one-time, and it is shown before you pay.

Entries and the vote opened together on 27 September 2026 and are open now. They close BY REGION, each region working back from its own night: Australia on 30 April, Singapore and Hong Kong on 7 May and every other region on 15 May 2027. Across the season that is 30 April to 15 May 2027, by region. Finalists are announced four weeks before your night.

Every entry fee is 100% refundable if your application is not approved. It is also refundable if the category is withdrawn, provided you ask within 14 days of being told. Otherwise an entry fee is not refunded because you changed your mind, though you can ask us and we will do what we can. A refund goes back to the card you paid with, in full, and we keep no fee out of it.

The public decides. There are no judges. One vote per person, per award, confirmed by clicking the link in the email we send you, and a vote that is not confirmed is not counted. The vote names the finalists, and the finalist with the most counted votes wins. The count is independently certified and no running total is published anywhere.

No. Every award is decided by the public vote, and nobody sits on a panel. Sponsors and partners are promotion and nothing else, and have no say in an outcome.

No. An entry fee pays for your page and nothing else. A press pack, a team pack, a media kit or a seat at a night is promotion and nothing else, and none of them affects the vote. Sponsors never vote and never see the count.

One night in each city, June to July 2027, and Dubai and Riyadh in November. By month: Melbourne in June 2027, Singapore in June 2027, Sydney in June 2027, Frankfurt in July 2027, Toronto in July 2027, London in July 2027, New York in July 2027, Dallas in July 2027, Dubai in November 2027, Riyadh in November 2027. Where a night has its month and not yet its day, the card says so, and venues are confirmed and named then.

No. Voting happens online, and the vote decides. Every country’s winners are revealed live on stage at that country’s night, and online the same moment, whether or not the winner is in the room. Finalists are invited to attend, because that is where the trophy and the plaque are handed over. A winner who cannot be there is revealed online the same night and given the virtual award, the Winner badge, the press release and the media kit, with a film of the award being presented on stage in their name. Hong Kong is revealed at the Virtual Awards Night, streamed.

A seated fine dining service at rounds of ten, premium drinks through the night, the opening show, the awards read on stage and entertainment through the night. The run of the night and what is poured are set with each venue and published once the venue is.

A reservation holds your seat for 7 days and costs nothing. We do not ask for a card. It is a hold, not a ticket: buy your ticket when you are ready, or walk away, and nothing is owed either way.

If we cancel a night you get all of your money back, add-ons and deposit included, and you do not have to ask. If we move the date or the city, you choose: keep your ticket for the new date, or take all of your money back. A change of room or hotel inside the same city is not on its own a reason for a refund, because what you are buying is the night, the city and the date.
