There are awards for expos, for conferences and for festivals. None of them ask the people on the floor. The Expo Awards started from a simple problem: the best tattoo expo in North America and the best home show in Australia have never been named, because nobody built a programme that went category by category, region by region, and asked attendees, exhibitors and colleagues what they thought.

So the audience has the first say. Attendees, exhibitors, delegates and colleagues nominate, and nominations are open. Entrants build a page and ask their community to vote. One vote per person, confirmed by email. The vote finds the finalists, and the most counted votes wins. The regional winners are announced online at The Virtual Awards Night, streamed, and one show is named the Global Expo of the Year, decided by public vote.

The Expo Awards is run by Wiktis Pty Ltd (Australia). It is independent of any venue, organiser or supplier. No company owned by Wiktis, and no company any of us hold an interest in, may enter or be nominated in any category.
